Your outdoor thermometer is going to get quite the workout over the next week or so, with temperatures taking a big dip before soaring back up to the triple digits.
Today’s high in Modesto is expected to be 93 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. That will be accompanied by some gusty winds, reaching speeds of up to 21 mph.
The temperature will drop over the next couple of days until it reaches only 86 degrees or so by Thursday. A few clouds are expected to move in during that time, though any rainfall likely will stay in the higher elevations.
After that, temperatures will increase through the weekend, landing at about 103 by Monday.
