10 YEARS AGO: A construction crew ruptured a two-inch natural gas pipeline, forcing the shutdown of a portion of Mitchell Road and the evacuation of nearby businesses and homes in Ceres. No injuries were reported. It took Pacific Gas & Electric Co. about two hours to stop the gas from leaking.
