Info: The Cat Network of Stanislaus is seeking donations for its upcoming garage sale fundraiser. The sale will be June 6-7 and donations may be dropped off prior to the sale. No large furniture items will be accepted. For more information, call (209) 324-1623.

Info: The Boys & Girls Club of Stanislaus County will host a series of weeklong summer day camps offering youths the opportunity to explore arts, space, sports, cooking and other activities. Morning camps run 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and are open to all Sylvan Union School District students from first to eighth grades. Afternoon sessions run 1 to 6 p.m. and are open to all club members. Info: The Livingston-Delhi Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary is having a VFW Family Hamburger Night. Offerings will include hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fish sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs and chili. Meal includes choice of homemade salads. Price is $2-$4.50 per meal. YESTERYEARS

75 YEARS AGO: The Retailers Credit Association of Modesto held a dinner meeting at Taza’s Restaurant. Special guest speaker J.N. Waterhouse of San Francisco, a central credit manager for a large lead company, spoke to the group on credit control. The retailers association was planning to have monthly dinner meetings, with guest speakers, in the future.
