Classes mark World CPR Challenge Wednesday

Fire and ambulance agencies throughout the area will take part in the World CPR Challenge on Wednesday, hosting free, short classes in compression-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
According to the Modesto Regional Fire Authority, trainers will emhpasize the three “Cs”: Check the patient, call 911, and compress the chest.
The training will be offered at four fire stations in Modesto and at fire headquarters in Turlock, along with several other locations.
Modesto classes will run from noon to 7 p.m., with classes in Turlock from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Modesto training sites:
Station 4 - 1505 Blue Gum Ave.
Station 5 – 200 W. Briggsmore Ave.
Station 10 – 148 Imperial Ave
Station 12 – 4820 Salida Blvd.
Turlock training site:
244 N. Broadway (training room)
