Wild temperature swings as the Valley cools this week

If we suffered last week with unseasonably hot temperatures, this week the thermometer is headed in the other direction.
Monday and Tuesday are expected to be unusually cool throughout the Northern San Joqauin Valley, National Weather Service forecasters say.
Tuesday also brings with it a slight chance of rain, though forecasters believe the precipitation will stay in the foothills.
Highs both days will be in the upper 70s. That will rise to the low 80s by Wednesday, when the clouds clear out and the system heads to Nevada, the weather service says.
The rest of the week will get progressively warmer, with highs near 90 by Friday. But there are no triple digits in the offing, forecasters say.
