Stanislaus County DUI crackdown begins tonight

Stanislaus County law enforcement agencies are beginning a “winter mobilization campaign” against drunk drivers tonight.
Through the holiday season, police and California Highway Patrol officers and sheriff’s deputies will be conducting aggressive enforcement to keep roads safe for holiday travelers, according to a news release Thursday from the county’s Avoid the 12 task force. This weekend’s enforcement will include:• A driver’s license and DUI checkpoint tonight and Saturday from 9:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. in the city of Modesto
• DUI saturation patrols tonight and Saturday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in Modesto, Oakdale, Ceres and Riverbank
• DUI saturation patrols Sunday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in Modesto and Ceres
