Fire damages west Modesto home

A fire Thursday night caused $125,000 in damage to a Modesto home and took firefighters 30 minutes to extinguish.
Nobody was hurt in the blaze, which was reported at 10:55 p.m. in the 100 block of Rosedale Avenue, Modesto Regional Fire Division Chief Sean Slamon said in a news release.
The neighborhood is west of Highway 99 and south of Paradise Road. The first fire engine arrived in less than four minutes.
Firefighters saw heavy fire conditions from the rear of the residence, threatening a neighboring house.
Seven engine companies and two truck companies with a total of 31 firefighters responded.
The home's occupants got out safely, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
