It was a toasty weekend, but the work week will be a bit cooler, with a chance of rain - yes, rain - tonight.
After highs near the triple digits Saturday and Sunday, National Weather Service forecasters predict a high of only 92 in Modesto this afternoon. Conditions are a bit muggy, with some clouds leading to a chance of thunderstorms and showers overnight and into Tuesday - the weather service puts the odds at 20 percent.
Tuesday will be about the same, with a little more sun and light winds. Temperatures will creep up throughout the week, with highs back in the upper 90s expected by Friday.
