Three adults and three children escaped injury when their house caught fire early Thursday.
According to Modesto Regional Fire Battalion Chief Hugo Patino, the fire was reported at 3:01 a.m. in the 1100 block of Desert Pine Court.
When firefighters arrived at 3:08 a.m., the residents were out of the house. Firefighters called a second alarm for more resources and had the fire under control at 3:41 a.m. They remained on scene until 6:36 a.m.
Cause of the fire had not been determined Thursday morning. It started in the rear right-hand corner of the house and spread to the attic, Patino said. A damage estimate also was not available.
The American Red Cross responded to help house the people displaced by the fire.
