Jamestown woman falls asleep at wheel, hits house near San Andreas

A Jamestown woman suffered moderate injuries after she fell asleep while driving and ran her car into a house early Sunday, authorities said. According to the California Highway Patrol, Jeanine Brown, 42, was driving a 1995 BMW 325I south on Lewis Avenue near San Andreas when the accident occurred at 3:30 a.m.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Jeanine Brown, 42, was driving a 1995 BMW 325i south on Lewis Avenue near San Andreas when the accident occurred at 3:30 a.m. As the car approached the Pope Street intersection, Brown fell asleep. The car went off the road and into a house, causing minor damage to the building and a walkway and major damage to the car. Nobody in the house was hurt. Brown was taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
