The Redwood Family Center will hold an open house at its Corson Avenue facility in Modesto on Wednesday.
The facility, which opened in January near McHenry and Roseburg avenues, can house 25 women and up to 40 children. It originally was a rest home and later a drug recovery facility until it closed a few years ago.
Redwood Family Center, which also has a facility in west Modesto, is a nonprofit that helps women who are battling addictions and seeking to regain custody of their children.
The open house at 416 Corson Ave. is from 3:30 to 6 p.m., with a ribbon cutting at 4 and tours of the facility from 4:30 to 6. For more, call (209) 521-1805.
