The Children’s Crisis Center of Stanislaus County, a nonprofit that provides shelter for abused, neglected and at-risk children, is holding its 24th annual golf tournament fundraiser and dinner auction Monday at Del Rio Country Club.

The golf tournament will have a shotgun start at noon. Some of the most needy children in the county benefit from services provided by the center.

The center is able to provide services more efficiently with its new affiliation and collaboration with the Stanislaus Family Justice Center, the district attorney’s office, Haven Women’s Center, Caire Center, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services as well as law enforcement.

The Children’s Crisis Center operates five shelters in Stanislaus County including Sawyer House, Cricket’s House, and Marsha’s House in Modesto; Guardian House in Oakdale; and Verda’s House in Turlock.

The golf fundraiser is sponsored by Pete Bakker, Coit Services; John Gardner, Central Valley Automotive Group; David Halvorson, American Chevrolet; and Chuck O’Brien, O’Briens Markets. In addition, other generous sponsors from throughout Stanislaus County help make this tournament a success. A dinner and auction will follow the day of golf at Del Rio Country Club.

Please join the group for dinner, even if you are not participating in golf. For more information regarding sponsorship and competition participation, call Wendy Evans at (209) 404-8883 or Tanda Guida at (209) 471-3589.
