County fair looks to hire hundreds in Turlock today

Stanislaus County Fair officials are collecting applications today for as many as 500 temporary positions. The fair is holding a job fair today to hire staff for the annual 10-day event.
Department supervisors will be on hand to take applications to fill positions ranging from ticket sellers and takers to customer service representatives, maintenance staff, office staff, exhibit clerks, livestock crew attendants, security and more.
The county fair will run July 12-21 and feature a mix of livestock auctions, agricultural exhibits, carnival rides, live entertainment and more. Last year, some 221,000 people attended.
The job fair will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Building E-1 at the fairground, 900 N. Broadway, Turlock.
