The city of Modesto is offering residents free dinner Thursday in exchange for their opinions. The city has scheduled a Community Engagement Forum from 5 to 7 p.m. in the downtown plaza at 1010 10th St. Officials said in a news release they will serve hot dogs, cheeseburgers and ice cream as they gather feedback on the city’s strategic plan. The plan is designed to identify the most critical services and priorities the city should address over the next three years. Free parking will be available in the lot at K and 11th streets, as well as in the 10th Street parking garage.
