The 15th annual Walk for Life, always held on Good Friday, drew 1,225 participants to the streets of Modesto. Praying, singing and carrying signs saying "pro-life" and "stop abortion," the marchers began at Eastridge Community Church on Oakdale Road, passed a clinic on Coffee Road that provides abortions and ended their 4-mile journey at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Oakdale. The event, sponsored by St. Joseph's, draws participants from throughout Stanislaus County.
