A Copperopolis man suffered major injuries when a vehicle he was pushing out of his driveway kept going and the door hit him.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Robert Clark, 63, was trying to push a 2000 Jeep Cherokee out of his garage in the 1000 block of Feather Court at 4 p.m. Monday.
Clark had set up wheel chocks to stop the Cherokee, but they weren't in the correct position, and the vehicle started to roll down the driveway with Clark inside, the CHP said.
As Clark tried to get out to reset the chocks, the open door hit him and knocked him down. He was taken by ambulance to Mark Twain Medical Center.
Authorities said Clark admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages before the incident.
