A man whose body was found in a pickup parked at a Sonora shopping center died of natural causes, the Police Department said Wednesday.

Police identified the man as Bill Scott Peterson, 57.

On Monday afternoon, an employee from a business in the Crossroads Shopping Center on Sanguinetti Road went to check on Peterson, who had been living in a vehicle on the lot, after he had not been seen for four days.

The employee found Peterson unresponsive and called authorities.

An autopsy determined Peterson died of a heart attack, police said.
