Manteca police seek suspect in game store holdup

Police in Manteca are looking for a man who held up a video game store.

According to a news release, the robbery occurred Monday at 11:43 a.m. at Game Stop, 1349 Historical Plaza. The suspect pulled out a black handgun and demanded money from the cashier. He then left the store and drove away in a dark early 1990s Volkswagen Jetta.

Authorities did not say how much money was taken.

Police described the suspect as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 200 pounds. He has a light complexion and was wearing an Adidas zippered sweatshirt with yellow stripes and a gray beanie hat.

Investigators ask anyone with information on the case to call Detective Bill Walmer at (209) 456-8222.
