We’ve had sun, rain and wind so far this week. Next up: frost.

The National Weather Service is warning Northern San Joaquin Valley residents to take precautions with pets, plants and pipes this weekend as lows are expected to dip into the 30s — well below normal for this time of year — and bring frost to the area.

Light showers are expected to continue off and on through Saturday, with snow falling down to 2500 feet.

Most of the weekend is expected to be clear but cold with highs not even hitting 60. Next week, temperatures are expected creep back up a few degrees.
