Firefighters responded to a house fire in Hughson on Thursday morning after a call came in at about 9 a.m., according to Hughson fire chief Scott Berner.
The home is located on the 7400 block of Chris Albert Ct.
Nobody was home when firefighters arrived, Berner said. The blaze started toward the rear of the house.
"There's quite a bit of damage to the back half of the house," Berner said.
There's no damage estimate and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
It took firefighters 20 minutes to knock down the flames. Crews remain on the scene putting out hot spots and cleaning up.
