In the last week, we’ve had highs near 90, lows in the 40s, rain in the valley and snow in the hills. So you had to know what would be coming up next in our forecast: valley fog.
Forecasters expect the fog — that sometimes thin, sometimes soupy stuff that hangs low to the ground during cold, wet weather — to return tonight to the Northern San Joaquin Valley.
That said, it’s looking to be a spectacular weekend, with highs in the 70s, lows in the 50s and just enough breeze to blow those falling leaves around.
To get there, we just have to get through today, which is expected to be overcast with a few sprinkles here and there, and Friday, which should be mostly sunny after the fog clears.
Looking ahead to next week, the National Weather Service expects more of the same mostly sunny and warm daytime conditions through Wednesday, when a chance of showers returns.
