Father, 14-year-old son arrested in Turlock

A traffic stop in Turlock resulted in the arrest of a father and son on weapons charges.
According to a Turlock police report, officers pulled over a car at North Minaret Avenue and South Palm Street at 7:39 p.m. Tuesday for a traffic stop. Inside were Christopher Amant, Sr., 44, his 14-year-old son and Donald Bell, 44.
Amant and Bell were on parole and subject to being searched. Officers found the senior Amant in possession of a sawed-off shotgun and his son in possession of brass knuckles, authorities said.
They arrested all three — Amant on a parole violation and the weapons charge, his son on the weapons charge and Bell on a parole violation.
