A young woman whose tattoo was done as a memorial to her sister has won The Bee's "Show Us Your Tattoo" contest.

The floral tattoo entered by Ashley Bertsch, 19, of Modesto received the most votes. It was done in tribute to her sister Lindsey.

"She had the same outline of the lilly on her arm," Bertsch said in her entry. "I absolutely loved hers, so i took it and did a little more to it after she passed."

The tattoo was done by Earl Nixon at Born to Lose tattoo in Modesto.

The Bee's contest, which drew 119 entries, concluded Thursday.

Bertsch will receive a new tattoo from tattoo artist Razer Ebrahimi of Living Ink tattoo parlor in Tracy. Razer will apply the tattoo, with a value up to $200, during the Music and Body Art Expo, which runs today through Sunday in Lodi.
