The fifth annual candlelight vigil to commemorate victims of violent crime will be held Sunday at 6 p.m.
The event is organized by Boni Driskill, whose daughter, Lacy Marie Ferguson, was shot outside a Modesto convenience store in 2003. The case remains unsolved.
The vigil will be held at Burbank-Paradise Park, at Vernon Avenue and Beverly Drive, in west Modesto.
A crime victim advocate from the governor's office will attend and Susan Levy, mother of Chandra Levy, will speak. The vigil is open to the public, and families of other victims are invited.
