Burning questions for those who BBQ

City needs your help cleaning corridor
To prepare for its upcoming Earth Day celebration, the city of Modesto is seeking volunteers for a neighborhood cleanup day along the undeveloped portions of the Virginia Corridor on April 12, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The Virginia Corridor is a 4.2-mile linear park that runs along the old Tidewater Southern Railroad Line from Needham Avenue to Bangs Avenue. Any individual or group interested in volunteering should contact Beverly McCullough, city of Modesto Solid Waste Division, at 577-5495. Modesto's 19th annual Earth Day in the Park Festival is slated for April 19 at Graceada Park.
