SHOOTING ARRESTS: Merced County Sheriff's detectives arrested four people on suspicion of shooting at two teens playing baseball, authorities reported. Sunday morning, detectives arrested four Winton residents: Juan Torres, 22, two 14-year-olds and a 16-year-old. The four, whom sheriff's spokesman Tom MacKenzie identified as Sureño gang members, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder with a gang enhancement. They are being held without bail. The arrests are related to an incident Wednesday evening on Santa Fe Drive and Jones Road in Winton, MacKenzie said. Two teens hit a baseball over their backyard fence and, when they went to get the ball, were confronted by six people who threw gang signs and yelled gang slurs at them. One person started shooting, but neither teen was hit. That night, officers arrested Arturo Morfin, 18, also of Winton. Morfin is being held at Merced County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder with a gang enhancement.

Shrader is 22 with blond hair and blue eyes. He is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. Police ask anyone with information about Shrader to call 532-8141.
