The state is trying to get a message across. California is beautiful, especially the Gold Country of Tuolumne County. So don't mess it up!
But for anyone driving on Highway 108-120 between Knights Ferry and Jamestown on Wednesday, there was plenty of evidence that some people don't care about keeping the state clean.
Bags of roadside trash collected by California Department of Transportation workers were stacked in the median, along with a sign that read, "Don't Trash California."
