GET READY TO VOTE: Not sure whom to vote for on Nov. 6? The League of Women Voters of Stanislaus County is sponsoring a candidate forum so you can make an educated decision. Modesto City Council Chairs 1 and 6 will be on cue for Monday at 6:30 p.m. The forum will be held in the council chamber at 1010 Tenth St. They will be broadcast live on Comcast Cable Channel 7, and Charter Cable Channel 19. PUMPKIN FAIR: The Sunrise Kiwanis will host its annual pumpkin event today and Sunday in downtown Manteca from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The pumpkin run will be today, with registration beginning at 7 a.m. just north of Library Park, at the corner of the bike path and Center Street. The one-mile race begins at 8 a.m. and the five kilometer race begins at 8:30 a.m. Also, the school farm and corn maze will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is located at Airport Way and Louise Avenue. Admission is $3 for kids younger than 13 years of age and $5 for 13 and older.
