Our wacky weather continues this week, with temperatures varying quite a bit for this time of year, starting out warm, then getting cooler then going back up again.
Here are the forecasted highs from the National Weather Service for the Modesto area: today, 87; Tuesday, 80; Wednesday, 82; Thursday, 86; Friday, 92. Come the weekend, we could see triple digits, followed by another cooling trend.
A low pressure system that could bring some rain to the areas north of us is behind the drop in temperatures, forecasters say. Conditions are expected to be breezy through Wednesday, with wind gusts of up to 30 mph.
That system should vacate by Thursday, as temperatures gradually rise toward the weekend, going back to higher than normal temperatures and fewer breezes before dropping down again.
