If you have a chance to get outside, today is going to be a good day to do it.
The National Weather Service is calling for a picture-perfect afternoon, with highs near 70 and a slight breeze. That all changes Thursday, however, when a storm moves into the area and sets up shop for the weekend.
Forecasters predict a 40 percent chance of rain Thursday, with rain "likely" by Friday. Cloudy conditions and highs in the 60s are expected through Sunday, with a chance of rain remaining as well. While the last storm left less than a half-inch of rain in most places, this one could bring up to 2 inches to the valley, forecasters say.
This storm is a bit warmer than the chilly front that moved through last week, so snow levels will remain at about 6,000 to 7,000 feet before dropping to around 5,000 feet Sunday and Monday.
