Kids took a walk on the wild side Saturday at the Great Valley Museum in Modesto.
The eighth annual Wild Planet Day science festival gave families a hands-on look at science and the natural world. The fundraiser for the museum at the Modesto Junior College West Campus included several exhibits, demonstrations and shows as well as plenty of interactive opportunities.
The Great Valley Museum has been promoting science and natural history in the Central Valley since 1972. The expansive facility at MJC opened in spring of 2015, complete with three levels and a planetarium.
