Three people escaped injury after a solo vehicle accident in east Modesto on Tuesday afternoon.
Police and emergency crews were called to Briggsmore Avenue west of Roselle Avenue on a report of a vehicle that rolled over at about 2 p.m.
Three people were in the pickup. Early reports on the dispatch scanner were that one person was pinned in and two others ejected. But Officer Kalani Souza said that when police arrived on scene, all three – an adult male driver and two adult female passengers – were out of the vehicle, and none appeared to have been ejected.
Never miss a local story.
The male driver was taken to a hospital as a precaution and is expected to be OK, he said. The passengers did not need medical attention.
The Dodge Ram 1500 was eastbound on Briggsmore, west of Oakdale Road, when for an unknown reason the driver apparently lost control of the pickup and entered the median. The truck rolled over several times, losing two of its wheels, and came to rest on its side, blocking westbound lanes.
All lanes were open by about 2:45 p.m.
