The crash in the 3100 block of McHenry was reported about 5:45 a.m., just minutes before sunrise. The victim was pushing a shopping cart, said Modesto Police Department spokeswoman Heather Graves.
The woman killed was 45-year-old Sarah Getreu, according to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office.
