IRISH AUTHORS' NIGHT

When: Today, 6:30 p.m.

Where: The Fruit Yard Restaurant, 7948 Yosemite Blvd.

Info: Dinner event in the banquet room. A complete dinner with a choice of New York steak, teriyaki chicken or beef lasagna. Entertainment will include live Celtic music, bagpipers from the Ripon Police and Fire Pipe Band and, of course, poetry readings of famous Irish bards. Cost is $26. Ceres COMPUTERS FOR SENIORS

Where: Ceres Community Center, Computer Lab, 2701 Fourth St.

Info: The Ceres Recreation Department is offering "Introduction to Computers for Seniors." The course includes basic computer operation, an introduction to operating systems, software applications and file storage. Prerequisites are rudimentary knowledge of how to operate a mouse, keyboard, and how to turn a computer on and off. Preregistration is required. Hughson MARCH FOR BABIES RELAY

When: Saturday, noon to 9 p.m.

Where: Hughson High School, football field, 7419 E. Whitmore Ave.

Info: The March of Dimes will hold "March for Babies Relay." The event represents the nine months of pregnancy. There will be games, entertainment, food and raffle baskets. The event ends with a "Light the Lantern" ceremony, where you can honor healthy babies, preterm babies, babies with a birth defect or remember a baby who did not survive.
