Woman robbed, kidnapped after leaving Turlock bank

A 55-year-old woman was robbed and kidnapped outside a Turlock bank Friday afternoon,

According to police, the woman withdrew $1,200 from the Bank of America at 501 E. Main St. After walking out of the bank, the woman encountered another woman pretending to be sick and a man pretending to help her.

Speaking in Spanish, they asked the victim to help get the sick woman into a minivan. The victim got into the van to help, then the man ordered her into the passenger seat. They robbed her of her money and drove her a couple of miles before letting her out at a church.

The minivan was described as an older-model, cream or tan Dodge Caravan with a partial license plate number of "5U." The man was described as a Latino, in his mid-30s, light skin, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 150 pounds with brown hair. The woman was described as Latina, mid-30s, light skin, 5 feet 3 inches tall, 160 pounds with brown hair.
