Ice Cube heats up the night at Modesto Summerfest

Rapper and actor Ice Cube stopped in downtown Modesto from Saturday night to Sunday morning to rock the crowd for the Summerfest 2009 block party.

Ice Cube took the stage after midnight and performed before an enthusiastic audience, which took over the street in front of Palladium Nightclub.

Early 1990s rappers Candyman and Rodney O also performed.

Ice Cube started his career in the 1980s in the band NWA, then launched a solo career. He has starred in movies such as “Boyz n the Hood,” “Three Kings” and “Barbershop.”
