Late Tuesday, the Turlock City Council agreed to temporarily earmark $2.8 million in redevelopment money to renovate the Turlock High School track and field ... if the school district wants it.
Turlock Unified School District has not discussed the issue.
The City Council also approved about $2 million to construct a downtown parking lot and roughly $200,000 for a water spray park at Columbia Park.
The City Council earlier in the night agreed to "placemark" $3 million in funding to rebuild the Carnegie Arts Center, provided arts supporters can put together a comprehensive business plan for its operation.
