Stanislaus County supervisors Tuesday unanimously:

Formed an ad-hoc committee looking into property improvements done over the years without permits. Supervisors Jim DeMartini and Jeff Grover were appointed.

Billed the owner of 5329 Eighth St. in Keyes $3,790 for costs of cleaning debris and boarding up a vacant home

Agreed to pay $12,000 for more design work on a jail expansion at the Public Safety Center. The extra money brings to $140,700 the amount paid to Crout and Sida Criminal Justice Consultants.

Added a self-investment option to employees' deferred compensation retirement plans

Adopted a resolution urging California legislators to resist shifting billions of dollars of revenue from counties
