The second funeral for Hickman rancher Frank E. Craig will begin at 1 p.m. today at the Turlock Memorial Park Chapel.

Craig, 85, died in April 2004 when a truck driven by then-Hickman Community Church Pastor Doug Porter went into the Ceres Main Canal. Craig was the truck's passenger.

Authorities later charged Porter — who controlled Craig's $2 million trust and officiated at Craig's first service in May 2004 — with murder, attempted murder, elder abuse causing death and theft from an elder by a caretaker.

A jury convicted Porter on all counts in August. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
