Performing artist David Garibaldi brought his "Rhythm and Hue" painting presentation to Spring 2009 Institute Day at Modesto Junior College. MJC faculty and staff watched as Garibaldi performed live painting on stage as rock music played in the background.
Over 200 people attended the performance at MJC's new Performing and Media Arts Center on the East Campus. Garibaldi donated a painting from the event. The painting will be auctioned at a fund-raiser called Summer Sonata, and proceeds will be used to establish scholarships.
Garibaldi, 25, has helped raise over $300,000 for charity through his Rhythm and Hue platform. Garibaldi's goal is to help raise over $1,000,000 by the time he turns 30.
