Suspect named in Modesto motel room shooting

Stanislaus County sheriff's officials said Friday they were looking for a San Francisco man in connection with a Thursday night shooting in a Modesto motel room.

The victim was in stable condition at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, said deputy Royjindar Singh, a department spokesman, on Friday. The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. Sheriff's officials did not release the shooting victim's name. Singh said Tremaine Moore, 33, left, is wanted on suspicion of attempted murder. Sheriff's officials said they believe Moore shot the victim about 6 p.m.

Thursday in a Budget Inn motel room on South Ninth Street. Authorities ask anyone with information about Moore's whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at 521-4636.
