Peace Prize winner to speak at UOP

Nobel Peace Prize winner Rigoberta Menchú of Guatemala will speak at the University of the Pacific at 7 p.m. Oct. 21 in the Faye Spanos Concert Hall.

She will discuss her work in raising awareness of the challenges facing indigenous people and her work toward reconciliation and peace.

Menchú received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1992. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 946-2650.
