BABY SITTER TRAINING COURSE

JANIS MUSIC HORIZON BAND CONCERT

COLOR THE SKIES HOT AIR BALLOON FESTIVAL

When: Saturday and Sunday, 5-11 a.m.

Where: Ripon Sports Park

Info: Pancake breakfast will begin at 5 a.m. and be served throughout the morning. Hot air balloons launch at 7 a.m., runs begin at 7:30. Performances every half an hour. All proceeds will benefit the Children's Hospital Central California in Madera. Free, parking $5.

Riverbank

DOWNTOWN BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT

When: Thursday, 6-8:30 p.m.

Where: Future Plaza Del Rio, Third and Santa Fe streets

Info: The meeting will begin with an introduction to the Phase II project at 6 p.m. and will conclude at 6:30. Afterward, people will have time to view the plans and materials for the project and to ask questions.
