THREE HURT IN FIGHT AT PARTY: Two males were stabbed and a third beaten with brass knuckles after crashing a party in Riverbank early Sunday, authorities said. Their ages were not available Sunday. All three were treated and released from local hospitals, sheriff's spokesman deputy Royjindar Singh said. After 2 a.m., deputies received a call about a group of people fighting and driving cars recklessly on the 3900 block of Belgian Drive. Deputies found the three wounded males when they arrived, Singh said. The fight appeared to be gang-related. The victims may have come from the Bay Area, crashed the party and instigated the fight, Singh said. Detectives are investigating. Singh asked anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 521-4636. Callers to CrimeStoppers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.

AID SOUGHT FOR CRASH VICTIM: The family of a Waterford 23-year-old is asking for help with his medical bills after a car crash last week left him with serious head injuries. Kyle Wellington was a passenger in a crash May 26 in Merced, according to the California Highway Patrol. Wellington's friend Anthony Henderson, 21, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet pickup on Oakdale Road at 10:30 p.m. when he ran into a tractor-trailer that had become disabled while trying to make a U-turn, the CHP reported. The truck driver, of Cloverdale, was not injured. Henderson did not see the truck, which was stopped on East Road, the CHP said. All three were wearing seat belts and DUI did not appear to be a factor in the crash. According to Wellington's family, Henderson underwent surgery for a broken ankle at Doctors Medical Center. Wellington has been in the intensive care unit at Doctors since the accident, said his mother, Patricia. Most of the bones in his face were broken and had to be reconstructed through surgery. Doctors now believe fluid from his brain is leaking from his nose, she said Sunday. The family has set up a special fund at Bank of the West, called "To Fred Wellington for Kyle Wellington," she said.

TRUCK STOLEN AT GUNPOINT: A Turlock man was washing his truck Saturday morning when another man walked up, pointed a gun at him and demanded his keys, police said. Just before 11 a.m., the victim was on the 400 Block of South Orange Street washing his Ford pickup when the incident happened, said Turlock police Lt. Carl Nielsen. The thief was described as about 25 years old and 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build. Officers found the truck about 15 minutes later just a few blocks away. No one was inside, Nielsen said. Turlock police ask anyone with information about this case to call CrimeStoppers at 521-4636.

The 20-year-old from Ceres was on the boat with friends when he disappeared around 8:30 p.m. His friends called authorities at 9:30 p.m. Officials so far have been unable to locate Delacruz's body using sonar in the lake.

MOBILE HOME FIRE KILLS RESIDENT: A 63-year-old Madera man is dead after a fire at his home on Avenue 14, Cal Fire reported. The fire is under investigation but does not appear suspicious, said Capt. William Cacho of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. Firefighters were called to the fire at 12:49 a.m. Sunday and responded within nine minutes, Cacho said. More than half of the 1,000-foot modular home, on the 28700 block of Avenue 14, already was burning. Firefighters found Rollin Crane inside his door dead, Cacho said. Four engines, one water tender and 15 firefighters responded. The fire was contained about 3 a.m. and under control by 7 a.m. Investigators estimated property damage to be about $140,000.

SIX-MILE CHASE ENDS IN ARREST: Sheriff's deputies in Calaveras County arrested a West Point man after a six-mile chase that reached speeds of 70 mph, authorities reported. Deputies tried to stop Steven Herman, 38, near Main Street and Highway 26 in West Point on May 26. He failed to pull over in his 1995 Chevy pickup and ended up driving to his home on Highway 26, where deputies arrested him without incident, according to Sgt. Dave Seawell. Authorities found more than 3 ounces of marijuana and a switchblade knife while searching Herman's truck, Seawell said. He was booked at the Calaveras County Jail on suspicion of evading a peace officer, possession of more than 1 ounce of marijuana, transportation of marijuana, possession of the knife, driving without a license and no proof of insurance. Herman's bail was set at $75,000. He was no longer in custody Sunday evening.

PROSTITUTION ARRESTS: Modesto police arrested three women Thursday on charges of prostitution related to soliciting sex through the online classified ad site Craigslist. Mia Gillies, 28, of Fresno; Codi Arcos, 20, of Turlock; and Estaphanie Hanus, 20, of Stockton were arrested at a Modesto motel after special investigations unit officers, posing as customers, responded to a Craigslist ad featuring the women's photos and a phone number. The officers arranged for the women to meet them at the unidentified motel and arrested them after the women agreed to perform a sex act for money. According to a Modesto Police Department press release, detectives received a CrimeStoppers tip that Arcos was involved in prostitution in the Modesto area and found the ad featuring her on Craigslist.
