LOVE ALL: The 2008 Memorial Day Adult Tennis Tournament will be held at the Downey High School tennis courts at 1200 Brighton Ave., May 24-26. Events for men, women and doubles will be held; players may enter up to two events. Fees are $17 for the single event and $24 per team for doubles. Pick up a brochure and registration form at the Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department, on the fourth floor at 1010 10th St. or at 720 Coldwell Ave. The registration deadline is 3 p.m. today. EXCHANGE STUDENT NEEDS HOME: Valley Charter High School is seeking a host family for one of its students, a 15-year old boy from Korea. The student needs a host family from June 1 through the beginning of January. The student is part of an international cultural exchange program, understands English very well and is an excellent student. The student exchange program is dedicated to bringing peoples of different nations together at a personal family level, forging bonds of friendship that will last a lifetime. PARENTS OF MULTIPLES: The Mid-Valley Parents of Multiples will be having a general meeting today at 6:30 p.m. at the Memorial Hospital education building, 1700 Coffee Road, Room 61. Anyone with twins, triplets, etc., is welcome.

GET RELIEF: A neuropathy support group has been established and will meet Monday at 2 p.m. at the Modesto Community Baha'i Center, 1100 Carver Road. Neuropathy is a condition involving the nerves outside of the central nervous system, mainly affecting the arms, legs, hands and feet. It causes unpleasant and painful sensations such as numbness and tingling in the extremities. Often, sufferers of neuropathy are diabetics, but there are many other conditions that can cause neuropathy. For more information, contact Noreen at 846-0954 or Mary at 526-6439.

WESTERN SCHOOLING: The second Western schooling show of the season with the Mid Valley Saddle Club will be held Sunday. Classes include halter, showmanship, walk-jog, pleasure, Western riding and trail. Sign-ups are at 8 a.m. The show starts at 9 at Diamond Bar Arena, 6055 S. Turlock

NEWCOMER'S CLUB: The Turlock Newcomer's and Friends Club will have its monthly luncheon meeting on Monday at the Moose Lodge, 1713 W. Main St. A social hour begins at 11:15 a.m., and lunch is served at 11:45 a.m. The club will discuss its community charity, Sober Grad Night, and present a check to representatives from Pitman and Turlock high schools. AUTISM FORUM: The County Office of Education, with the Challenged Family Resource Council and the Special Education Advisory Committee, will offer plans for educational services for infants, toddlers, children and young adults at an autism forum on Thursday in MOCE's Clark/Newbold conference rooms, 632 W. 13th St., from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Parents will be asked to offer input. SCHOLARSHIP BANQUET: The Central Valley Opportunity Center will hold its Spirit of Independence Scholarship and Awards banquet on Friday at 6 p.m. at St. Patrick's Parish Hall, 671 E. Yosemite Ave. Keynote speaker is Encarnacion Ruiz, director of admissions and outreach at the University of California at Merced. CVOC will honor its 15 scholarship recipients, as well as other organizations who assist them, with dinner and live music for dancing.
