RIVERBANK TEEN FALLS FROM CLIFF: A Riverbank teenager is in the hospital after falling from a beachside cliff near Bodega Bay on Sunday evening. The boy's name has not been released. He had what appeared to be moderate injuries after the fall, according to a Sonoma County Sheriff's Department news release. According to the department, bystanders said the boy was climbing up a 30-foot cliff about 6 p.m. at Schoolhouse Beach when, near the top, he fell backward and landed on the rocks below. First responders had to hike across the beach to reach him. The nearest trail was 300 yards away, so they transported him by sheriff's helicopter to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

MEMORIAL FOR SLAIN MAN: Family and friends of the man who was shot and killed last week in Modesto's airport neighborhood will hold a memorial service Wednesday at 4 p.m. The memorial for 51-year-old Clarence "Buddy" Mason will be at the Tuolumne River Regional Park, 1200 Tioga Drive. The public is invited.
