SUPPORT GROUP FOR GAY TEENS: A support group for gay and lesbian teens meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, from 7 to 9 p.m., at College Avenue Congregational Church,

HEALTH AND NUTRITION INFORMATION: Celebrate National Nutrition Month by learning to make good food choices and develop sound eating and physical activity habits. A panel of dietitians will speak on the subject from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Sutter Gould Medical Foundation's Health Education and Conference Center, 1700 McHenry Ave., Suite 60B, McHenry Village. MENTAL ILLNESS EDUCATION COURSE: The National Alliance on Mental Illness, Stanislaus, has a free program scheduled for Saturdays through May 24 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 500 N. Ninth St. The course is for people who want to manage their serious mental illness. It covers mental health awareness, coping strategies, relapse prevention and more. FREE SELF-HELP LEGAL DOCUMENT CLINIC: Staff members from A Legal Place and KJ's Form Preparation will conduct a free self-help legal document clinic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Smyrna Park on Moffet Road. Staff members will help those seeking assistance with their initial form preparation in divorces, child custody, restraining orders and modifications. Only 50 appointments will be available; call 556-3819 to book a reservation.

Riverbank

FOR KIDS: American Indian magician Tamaka will perform at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Riverbank Library, 3442 Santa Fe Ave. Tamaka will entertain with comedy, storytelling, music and magic through his stories about American Indian culture. The program is offered to help kick off the spring session of StoryTimes, offered at 10:30 a.m. Fridays. Children attending the magic show will receive a book to take home. Space and books are limited, so families are encouraged to arrive early. For more information, call 869-7008.
