Wilda Ray Cone lives in Ralston Tower, and she’s pretty self-sufficient.

But she doesn’t get out to get groceries, and that’s where Inter-Faith Ministries of Greater Modesto comes in.

The program’s home-delivery service brings her healthy foods, produce and staples to fill her cupboards.

Last year, she even got a breast of turkey at Thanksgiving, which she said led to some wonderful sandwiches.

“I’m thankful for all of that,” Cone said. “They’ve been a blessing. Oh, my goodness, they deliver so many odds and ends. I’m so thankful to receive the monthly donation.”
