When it comes to classic sandwiches, there's the Reuben (corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing on buttered rye or pumpernickel that's been grilled); Monte Cristo (ham, turkey and Swiss or Gruyère cheese on bread that's been battered and then deep-fried or grilled); clubhouse (a BLT with sliced roasted turkey breast); and the French dip (roast beef, pork or lamb on a French roll, dipped in jus).
