Gail Vadner of Sacramento was looking for the Jack Daniel's sauce served at TGI Friday's and Outback Steakhouse. A few weeks ago, we had a Jack Daniel's barbecue sauce recipe in the Mailbox. This recipe, from Carol Pappas of Sacramento, is credited to TGI Friday's and is different from the barbecue sauce recipe.
1 teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon Tabasco
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
¼ cup Jack Daniel's whiskey
2 cups brown sugar
¼ cup water
2 beef bouillon cubes
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Combine all ingredients in a small pan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Allow to cool and use as a sauce on any grilled meat.
